No I dont. De Gea is looking better because Manutd defence is weaker. Keepers who are well protected are less involved and occasionally lose concentration. Mignolet looked much better at Sunderland. De Gea has always been good only that his is on his own now.

I guess Van Der Sar was also on his own? Peter Schmeichel too???
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

All your arguments are limited to Manutd. Mine was on the importance of the position relative to others.
To answer your question,Manutd won titles inspite of those two keepers not because of the them.

See post# 81. You must be a serious title challenger in the first place.

A very good keeper can win you 5 - 10 points (give or take) in a season and then you add to the other points you have. if you are a team of getting 30 points a season, you get 35 - 40 points. Those can't win you the League. But can help in the relegation battle...

I was just supporting your theory smile let me rephrase then, if a keeper can help in the relegation battle then I expect Heaton will keep burnley out of the relegation battle.

John Ruddy didn't save Norwich city neither did David Marshall keep Cardiff in EPL. Sunderland survived with the error prone Vito Manone.

There is the little matter of the work permit that could turn into a big issue!

I understand Paulista just means he is from São Paulo. The name on his Jersey will be Gabriel.

Work permit has been granted, the player is set to be unveiled tomorrow. I don't know much about him but we need cover at the back plus La Liga pundits think he'll suit Arsenal's style.

@Jus Blazin....Man Utd were also interested but Arsenal had already done enough to clinch the deal.
