Can anyone in the know advice on this subject.I have recently got a contact to purchase uk ex-mod drilling rigs for boreholes.Now comes the problem according to kenya customs i can not bring them to kenya cos they are mounted on OLD army trucks(4x4).To my understanding I thought as long as they were classed as heavy plant machinery the age requirement did not apply?This to me sounds like our laws are hindering development in our own country since this machines are reasonably priced and of better quality than the ones coming from india or china.Our neighboring countries see the value of this kind of vehicle and allow them regardless of the age.Looking for contacts in Tanzania,Uganda or Rwanda for people interested in purchasing the rigs too,until I can find a way of the KRA allowing me to bring them into Kenya.Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
