Can someone assist pls?

Just wondering what kind of prices are going for plots in the Lukenya area?

Most of the neighbourhood looks like ranches...not much farming going on...or residences.

Another question: why is there such a huge concentration of people in Mua Hills? Why dont they live down on Lukenya Plains?

In Lukenya you can get an acre at 150,000 ....the main issue is water ..that is why there is sparce population..I you have the ability to drill a borehole or a big dam you are done....the soil is totally virgin...Daystar university saw the opportunity of cheap land there and invested....with the improved mombasa highway...this is a place to watch....Machakos town will in less than 10 years to come be joined to Nairobi.... to take position is time now...

Another place could be Malili ranch ......past machakos junction where the government is about to start a Businesspark...

I gather the undergound water in that area is salty? Not confirmed though.. Anyway, if you can get a way round the water issue, it should be a good deal. I have relatives living near there who just dug a big water tank, and then harvest rain water. Thus for residential purposes, it works well.

@anasazi salty water is not much of an issue bearing the fact that the EPZ water has been piped from Mt Kilimanjaro you can easily tap that water.

ok, I'm no expert on this... what is the impact of salty water on farming?

otherwise where daystar and lukenya getaway plus lukenya academy get their water is worth looking into. you may find the water thing is a non issue after all
