This Wazua thing doesn't even come close to SK!!! And the fact that it was forced down our collective throats left a bitter after taste in most of our mouths. Add to that the chinese style censorship and [insulting] explanations that assume that most of us a lower primary kids [Like the post 'was getting to long to read' - at 79 post while there is an active one which is currently at 188 posts - more than double] and you can see why most of us are not so excited to log in. Sad d'oh!
I couldn't do any work without checkin out SK first but this Wazua thing... I don't feel I have missed anything by not loggin into it. Maybe time [Like 10 years - Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly ] will help me change my mind/attitude. But by then I'm sure they will have changed the site like twenty times.
To be honest I'm like a tenant whose rent has been doubled. I'm just here until I find another 'place'. Hopefully I'll be able to get my neighbours [Njung'e, Wendz, Mukiha etal] to move with me to the new 'estate'.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Don't gamble; take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it...

I dont think it has anything to do with having the money to invest or lack of it... Last year, people were hardly trading or buying shares but there was always a reason to log into SK. If i speak for myself, this week and last, i only log in to check out people's sentiments on mumias - where i have interest and also its activities in the market.... I can go for weeks i havent logged in and when i do, sometimes i just read and not contribute coz it doesnt feel that sense of belonging to this site... there is no feeling of connection... i hardly even go beyond the blue page. last year, i used to love "other discussions" too coz thats where i connected with fellow skerians... these days?????????? i dont really feel it. But thats me.

@Wendz has spoken for many, i trust.

SK used to have an optimum mix of business and pleasure (Other discussions)which would make life sweeter and even some ideas on how to, or not to spend the hard-earned stocks money.

We used to have all sorts of comments on issues that face us every day - the connection was amazing. One would love and hate contributors with equal measures as if they were siblings. And we would jot down our naked thoughts so well while hiding in anonymity - The kind of exchange we had in SK is an example of the future.
