What happens to the role of the national police service commission? Aren't they the ones who are supposed to interview suitable candidates for the job?

Have you read the law?

There was an amendment in the section 12 of National Police service Act.
2)The President shall, within
fourteen days after a vacancy occurs in
the office of the Inspector-General,
nominate a person for appointment as an
Inspector-General and submit the name of
the nominee to the National Assembly.

Which intelligence arm was he part of. I hope not the underwhelming kenyan one. I hope some MPig will ask him what role he played in the NIS etc.

Haya basi bwana Joseph. Lets see your quality. And gud luck.

Tell this young man that just because Uhuru appoints, we start clapping. Hiyo ni kazi ya Jubilee. I'm a mere citizen with no political affiliations. Only fools love political parties in Kenya.

I have only campaigned for 1 Boinett...Brigadier Wilson A.C. Boinett

I don't know this Boinett. Labda ni mtoto yake, casin ama clansman.

I only care about security.

What the hell is "truly deserving". Ame fanya nini? 16 yrs in the intelligence service is not more than my mom a secretary at OP with her sweater akiweka kwa kiti lunch time. Ama ni Ole Lenku truly deserving coz of his tribe?

You know one day somehow, some day and with God's blessings we shall get a PROFESSIONAL police force.

Was this guy who no one knows truly deserving coz he's a Kalenjin and Uhuru needed to keep URP happy?

Or is he truly deserving coz he's a cop who can actually deal with security?

Time will tell lakini apana kuja wazua telling us he's truly deserving when we don't even know this fellow. All I know is that he looks like Ole Lenku. Sura kali kama ule jamaa wa Uhuru Highway.

Now about that law on security of tenure.....Hiyo itaenda in 2015. Alma's Crystal Balls.

We need security of tenure for a PROFESSIONAL police service. But if you think otherwise, 2015 is 365 days lets wait.

I give him the benefit of the doubt.Jubilee changed the laws at night, I have no choice but hope Uhuru is not going for another selfie....We want security. PERIOD. Who's appointed I don't care. Just make sure I'm not shot by the carjacker....Lakini thus far, I'm not impressed. Sawa Dunkang?
