Gambia rocked by shooting while Jammeh in France...

Heavy gunfire has erupted near the presidential palace in The Gambia's capital, Banjul, reports say. Details are sketchy but witnesses say soldiers from the presidential guard were behind the attack, the Associated Press (AP) news agency reports. The fighting was reported while President Yahya Jammeh is on a visit to France. Mr Jammeh seized power in a coup in 1994 and his critics accuse him of ruling with an iron-hand. The deputy of The Gambia's National Intelligence Agency, Louis Gomez refused to comment on the shooting, AP reports. The tiny West African state, with its sandy beaches, is a popular tourist destination. possunt quia posse videntur

What is happening today is the stuff made of nightmares for one yahya jameh a swearing in Senegal and troops from neighbouring countries marching towards him and install the new leader.Will they arrest him , ama ni exile or will it be another Gaddafi moment in the offing .Huyu jamaa angekubali nusu mkate goverment it doesn't look good for him the determination by neighbouring countries to kick him out is unprecedented.

What nusu mkate yet he lost fair and square at the box? Akwende kabisa!!...and they should not Gadaffi him. A public flogging and caning his black bare bottoms infront of his children at the City square would be good enough humiliation! Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

In 2017, Baba will be sworn in as the 5th Kenyan president in Kenyan Embassy in USA If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

The Presidential guard is dominated by the Jammeh's Jolla tribe and are likely to support him to the end. However there are many army dissidents in Senegal and Guinea Bissau who are likely to lead the onslaught. Truth forever on the scaffold

That is such a small army, i think they would be overrun by UON students when on strike. The elite Presidential guard is a small squad of about 50. The situation in Gambia makes Africa look bad. His ministers and VP have deserted him and the non graduate Professor is still clinging to power! Truth forever on the scaffold
