...I have just watched a story by one Purity mwambia ( ako na mahanga!!!) walking into 3 malls...TRM, Nakumatt junction and nakumatt lifestyle with a l loaded pistol. In all the 3 instances she is not detected either by the askaris and the cctv cameras. She even poses for the cctv cameras to take pictures and nobody notices anything... fake cameras. .. This christmas you are on your own... I guess there will be an English version at 9. Take care this Christmas.

Phew! Clearly, we are on our own. I once asked those guards at junction what they would do if they found a bomb in my car and his reply was... 'sijui!'

Was at TRM last week. My boot was full of boxes with different stuff. The guy just gave them a casual look and closed the boot. The boot of the van infront of me was full of huge locked suitcases. The guy had just given them a casual look and closed the boot. After 'clearing' me, I asked him "What kind of security check is this? Did you even check what was in those suitcases?". The guy tells me "Ameniambia ni nguo". I asked him if he is waiting for a day terrorists will tell him "Tumebeba bomb mbili na AK 47 Saba". He just smiled. I then asked him about my boxes. He hadn't even bothered to ask me what was inside. He just gave me a lazy look. Those "I am just waiting for my shift to end" look.

Then in some buildings you find only a male guard at times. He checks your pockets while letting ladies pass with their huge bags and you can't help but ask wtf???

On a different note, some people might land in problems here if the police are serious.

1) A licensed gun holder should not 'lend' their gun to anyone for WHATEVER REASON.

2) An unlicensed person should not be in possession of a gun.

Tic toc. Tic toc...

That's the attitude everywhere in Kenya, to be safe just avoid crowds

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Kenyan peculiar habits !! At least you are not from the disapora and you can see something is wrong here. So you can imagine how irritated one becomes when you see such stuff.Reminds me of the cops at the airport checks who verify the insurance stickers instead of checking the boot and you say brary bugger there are other police checks who can do the stickers stick to what is important .

I blame the owners of these establishments. Ypu don't put just anyone at these checks without proper training and monitoring. Do they even develop standards of safety? How much are they even paid? Do thety work in shifts? Over to you TRM and co.
