Assailant killed alongside one hostage in dramatic and unexpected storming of the cafe partly caught on camera.

How comes their media did not publish the photos of the dead? How comes their people are not asking for photos as proof?d'oh! d'oh!

Because their media is responsible, the citizens have trust in the government and the government is accountable to the citizens unlike in Kenya where you burn mattresses and lie to citizens

And also because their vice premier did not show satellite photos taken three years ago as evidence that they have killed a hundred siekers! smile

It emerged that Monis, a self-styled "sheikh", had appeared before the Australian courts last year for writing hate mail to the families of Australian servicemen killed in Afghanistan. He was also on bail accused of being an accessory to the murder of his ex-wife, and for 40 counts of sexual assault and indecency. Despite his notoriety and public profile – he had vented his anti-Western views several times on Australian television – he was apparently deemed a harmless crank rather than an imminent danger by Australian intelligence officials.

RINK - He was out on bail

The head of judicial services there should resign!!! He failed the families of those killed!! They should also review their constitution!!

Applause Applause

This is a sad situation. I condemn such act as criminal. There is no room for the hostage-taking in Islam.

So, all I can say is, that man committed a crime. And we should not suggest that Muslims are associated. A crime of one Muslims does not mean all Muslims are involved. A crime committed by one Christian does not condemn all Christians. Unless we are just ignorant and going that way will only create division and further polarize the people.

And I admire Australian police for handling this the best way possible, calmly, with openness and sense of sincerity and responsibility. For the Police to say they haven’t determined the motives of the gunman is never heard of in many other countries, especially our own Kenya.

I wonder what the motives were here???

I wonder what the motive was in Sydney when asking for an ISIS flag, and holding up an arabic flag in the window? Maybe the motive was to steal Lindt chocolates? Or protest the flavours available?
