Seems 'Men in black' are back in action


Several youths were Monday morning arrested after they turned chaotic at the Homa Bay County Assembly grounds, the venue for the ODM Homa Bay senatorial nominations.


The angry youths disrupted the nominations at around 11.30am and kicked the ballot boxes that had been set ready for the exercise.


The youths, who were among the delegates who were to cast their votes, destroyed the ballot boxes saying that some of their fellow delegates had either been excluded from the voters’ list or replaced.


They had been seated in the guests’ area then suddenly rose and moved to the dais in protest.


Police shot in the air as they tried to contain the situation as some of the candidates in the nominations were whisked away.

The whole thing was organised from Orange house. The aim is to disrupt the nominations then HQ will intervene and give the preferred candidate automatic nomination. Remember that is how Nyongo and kajwang mapambano ended up with automatic nomination certificates during last yrs elections after they organised for youths to disrupt the nomination exercise. The same old trick is being used in the current byelection.
