The Kenya Roads Board instead of asking for more money should be very strict on contractors who do a shoddy job. Why should a road be constructed today only for it to start crumbling after less than 2 years. That is where the leak is and not asking for more money. Uhuru Highway was recarpeted more than 6 years ago from JKIA to UN in Gigiri.despite all the trailers that pass through it with some being overloaded the road is still intact. That should be the solution. Bwana Rotich if you are reading this don't grant Kenya roads board their request. It will also make life expensive as petrol prices cut across all sectors yet the government is looking at ways of lowering the cost of doing business.
I agree. Look at Nairobi Naivasha road. Always being patched up yr in yr out by shoddy contractors and there's always a KENHA new dcab pickup 'supervising'. If they cannot manage the money they have, why give them more? I worked in a bank once and KRB was one of the biggest fixed deposit holders there. Instead ya kujenga roads they were putting cash kwa fixed deposit accounts. Puh! These people!

If the Chinese will give us better and durable roads than our local contractors then let them get all the contracts to do our roads. There is no need of being patriotic na tunaumia ile mbaya. The road from lanet to eveready in nakuru was done 6 years ago by the Chinese(Shengli) and is still intact

By how many cents or shillings is the price of petrol being reviewed. There is already a shortage of fuel in Nairobi with petrol stations reporting no fuel at the pumps

Petrol still above 100/=??? These fellows are totally shameless!!! No words! And why do they price in bloody inefficies? They should have given ultimatums and time lines. The cost of xyz should be reduced to Kshs. m by date q. And lobby, highlight, report etc. If they could simply keep repeating "If inefficiency xyz was sorted out, we could reduce the cost of fuel price by a further 10/= per litre..." and mention the guilty party believe you me, it would have been sorted by now!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
