Sophisticated equipment is relative...given the state of the level of some of police literacy ...i doubt if they can even pronounce the word sophisticated

This is where the responsibility of the landlord, watchmen, neighbours comes in.

Were it not for the fire, then it is unlikely that any discovery would have taken place. Sad

Our immigration system has no way of tracking issuance of visa/entries of tourists and the expiry of their visas. This is how criminals including murderers and paedophiles are able to run their activities. Very sad.

Surely once you rent a house should the landlord be snooping around to see what you are doing? Even looking into your bedroom to see if there is anything fishy going on in his property? Also how would the neighbours and watchie know what is going on inside the house?

once in a while the Landlord needs to check the status of the house and this is clear in the lease agreement. With a keen eye one can tell when something is fishy.

You check to ensure
1.Tenant is still there
2.They are not using firewood to cook thus messing the walls in the kitchen
3.The taps and bathroom assesories are intact.
4.No partitions and renovations going on without your permission.

This is necessary now when we need to be aware of our surrounding.

@Bigchick has said it. The Chineth were smart in choosing Runda cos of the 'privacy aspect' and they probably pay rent quarterly or twice a year so as to avoid frequent contact with the landlord. No one says the landlord should go snooping after taking Faxe but being cautious will be rewarding e.g. have watchies at the residence who can tell you if something is fishy, even simple things like 22 people staying in your house when you only rented it to a family or couple.

Any experience Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Mohammed said the Chinese had arrived in the country on tourist visas but ended up getting a monthly renewal without stepping out of their Runda residence, where they operated among other things a radio station. "It never happens anywhere that tourist visas are extended. It doesn't happen anywhere and it cannot happen here. We are engaging their embassy to know how people who came here on one-month tourist visas ended up getting continuous renewals without visiting any national parks or tourist attractions," she said, adding it was standard practice that people on tourist visas must return home on expiry of the 30-day period.

This is a digital government, you do not need to leave your house to apply for a visa renewal, you just renew it online
