Baba now gives Homa Bay elders three days to decide if he should run for the senate seat. He now wants to pretend that the decision to run is not his but from the elders. And of course the elders will say YES. Baba is desperate for any seat, and as he has said in the past "Hata mkia ni nyama". There are also reports that his Karen home is in rent arrears and he could be kicked out by his landlord soon.

It would be so desperate for him to run for that seat. Is it really that hard for him to stay under the radar? Damn!

If he vies the propaganda on the ground will be that he influenced Kajwangs journey to Makueni to enable him vie and the seat must remain in South Nyanza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raila should not vie for HB Senetorial post. Raila is becoming selfish. He does not want that post so as to help the people of HB and he will NOT serve them if elected. He wants it for his personal gain and to that I say NO.
The Anyanga guy should not pretend to be talking on behalf of HB people since he comes from Migori County.

If RAO vies, will Wetangula step down as the Minority leader? Will Kidero stop running to Homa Bay for harambees?

A politician needs to have an elective seat for him to be more effective, otherwise he'll be like fish out of water. And it doesn't matter the size of that seat, what matters is that you have a legitimate recognised forum to articulate your views, a forum where your views can be turned into action.

Kenya's current political situation needs a strong Baba to keep jubiree on the correct (and narrow) path otherwise the kanu children could easily take us back to the old kanu days, and the senate gives Baba an excellent forum for this. He will also revitalize the senate, which has lately become impotent, to effectively guard devolution which will be good for all kenyans.

Baba is still very energetic, and also "young" (compared to some senators), and it would be unfair to force him to retire. Politics is his life, it's the only career that he knows and one that gives him satisfaction.

Also there is no harm with someone taking a lesser seat, we have seen former ministers become ambassadors eg Prof Ongeri, Githae etc. and life goes on. It is just a temporary tactical retreat as one reorganises himself and prepares for the next battle. Also one should be ready to serve the public at whatever capacity.
