Has our great president lost it? Is he blaming the parents for the fact that their 3 year old was raped?
Why not just go and mind his billions since he has achieved the aim of his presidency which was to secure ICC release?

Those offthe cuff remarks were directed by Kratos!

When the Head of State starts making excuses for failure, what does a policeman do in the streets? Will he ask you for fuel since security is your responsibility? Will he ask you for kitu kidogo since security is your responsibility?

This is the most shocking thing I have ever heard.

People are being told to report. Now they are reporting. Anyone arrested yet?

Read this harrowing story of a lady in the hands of policemen who we are supposed to report to.

It's nice to make Bibilical speeches, but man there are times when action is needed not another long lecture on how the parents of a 3 yr old are responsible for the raping of their children.

Kenyans indeed are peculiar people. So the only thing Kenyans heard from the speech is watu wajipange.Even Moi said that we should ask ourselves what we are doing for Kenya not what Kenya is doing for us.The media is also asking stupid questions like Do you agree that the buck stops with citizens and not with president?
Security is a collective responsibility.
Uhuru could have been drunk but he raised questions that we as Kenyans need to think about.
How many kenyans are robbed in broad day light and we dont really care.We are busy taking photos and videos to post to social media.
How come no men have been captured in those videos defending our women? Our inaction both ignorance and arrogance is our problem.
It is sad what happened to that 3 year old. Those 2 uncles should be castrated, executed and rot in hell. The mother is also partly to blame.Which mother goes home at 7pm finds their kid being molested sits there doing nothing until 10 pm when these beasts finish what they were doing? What was she doing between 7P.M and 10 P.M.and she knew what was happening?
Where are our muslim leaders when the mosques are converted in to training grounds for hate and Murderers of innocent Kenyans. Why do we only see them when these mosques have been closed because their freedom of worship has been interfered with.Let us all learn to do our part and help Kenya to be a better country.

Wamunyotu, being right and being wise are two very different things.

The President sounded angry. He sounded angry at everyone, including the victims. It's his right. I too get angry when I find myself in situations I should never have been in the first place.

But his job is the LEADER of this nation. NOT THE MOUTHPIECE FOR FAILURE.

You can argue like Alai that the women who are being stripped are being stripped because they are loose if you go on with that argument.

Wisdom is having empathy with victims even when you know the victims are at fault. Everyone who's ever been a victim of a crime has their own moments when they question their own responsibility in a crime.

You are now arguing like those cops who ask you, "na ukiibiwa ulikuwa wapi?"

That's the main reason why Kenyans don't bother reporting crime. Because they know they will be victimised all over again.

Those parents were victimised yet again and on National TV by the President.

I promise you, after that speech, the only reporting that will be going on will be Kenyans trying to figure out how they can get their own gun since the President doesn't care anyway. Don't be shocked to see more mob violence since now Kenyans have been asked "wewe ulikuwa wapi".

Wisdom and being right are 2 totally different things and they are not mutually inclusive.

Wacha nyef nyef, why do you think these criminals and thugs have the guts to do what they are doing in public? Is it becuase we are unresponsible? is it because they know nothing will happen to them even if you report them to the police? Read the post of Bigchick when she tried to be responsible andd how she was dismissed easily!.I met a guy at pangani whose house had broken into and a tv, cooking gas cylinder and home theatre stolen, His only request to the police was to accompany the police and show them where the goods had been sold to, He was told there are currently no officers to accompany him "Kuja baadae", When he tried asking the police office at the report desk to be specific on what time he should come back, He was told "Hauskii, nimekuambia kuja baadae"

So our thugs, terrorists, rapists and other criminals know that there is nothing police can do?

Why do we have public stripping in the first place?Public stripping in the middle of a busy street in the city? Was there no single police officer on patrol?Which streets do these officer's patrol so that we can be aware of which streets to use?Why is it that you are most likely to see more traffic officers than the patrol officers? why do we need more than 10 traffic officers to man a junction(pangani/forest road/juja road junction)?

There is nothing citizens can do to restore law and order. That is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STATE and ITS OUR RIGHT.When you ask people what are they doing?what will stop the guys in mandera with the "wrong" religion/race to form vigilante groups?

I guess by now you know what vigilante groups turn into

STOP LOOKING FOR EXCUSES!

The PRIMARY GOAL OF ANY GOVERNMENT IS TO PROVIDE SECURITY TO ITS CITIZENS it is not the PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CITIZENS TO PROVIDE SECURITY

I have ever heard a person who went to report someone in their estate had a panga and was brandishing it threatening to chop people.

The police told the guy .. enda umulete hapa.

Sound strange but I am sure you have heard similar stories. The problem is BIG

There are no less than 10 cops at Westlands round about every morning creating an artificial jam so that they can check whether cars have insurance stickers and harass matatus, yet there is no cop in a station who can accompany you to get back your stolen items. Let me know what that guy has not done in that particular case. Ama angekaa kwa nyumba ili vitu zisiibiwe? It wont cost the police any extra coins by having one officer on a motorbike man that round about(after all traffic lights are working) and the remaining 9 will go and protect ladies from rapists. Its a simple LEADERSHIP thing. Operational Excellence.

Since he became President this is the worst speech I have heard from Uhuru, As a president he should be wise enough to know such declarations can lead to such acts as Mob justice at the slightest of provocation.

I can feel the mother of the child who was molested by the Uncles how is she feeling now?

The talk is similar to how the Police treat you when you go there to report any incidence ...don't care attitude.."ulikuwa wapi wakikuibia?" kind of questions.

I do not understand how when every one tells you to reorganize your security team but it seams you do not care. For heavens sake why again is lenku still in office?

Do you expect police to be there? maybe not in my house but at a matatu terminal where there is human traffic...yes I expect police to be there!

update president set president = speaker where president is null
