I will tell you again, Atalaku, Ole Nenku is going nowhere. Hiyo ni ndoto mnayo.

Haki you are such a hope crashersmile Haki you mean after this meeting we shall only have a statement on "No stone will be left standing?"

I can assure you that the most important statement coming out of that meeting is

"my government SHALL yadayadayada"

There is only one way to remove Ole Lenku.

Vote for Raila in 2017. Let's see that happening in my lifetime.

I so hope that you are wrong.

RAO was in government. What did he achieved as chair of the security council? He is currently subverting his party rule of law using MiB (thugs). Same guy who was talking real war on Uganda (one of our largest export destinations) because of Migingo? Hopeless.

Let me remove this illusion we have about the cabinet secretary to the Interior and defense ministry's. They are just window dressing to comply with the Constitution and the public demands.
The president is fully in charge of this dockets and the occupiers are puppets.
The president gets his information directly from the horses mouth not through ole lenku or ommamo.
We are racking the wrong individual.
sometimes i suspect this is all an orchestrated witch-hunt by some guys to oust Ole Lenku and put one of their own in the docket.

As they continue to be seen to 'fail' we get more militarized!!!!

SMH..the naivety is striking. You cannot give constant references to Uganda and Ethiopia as examples on what Kenya should do to deal with Al Shabaab then complain about militarization of the state. We are at war within and without our borders!...and Yes, Ethiopia and Uganda are highly militarized states!!!

Seems you can't get it into your head how they are doing, you have the intelligence, you fail to work on it, everybody says the police are inept then you get the excuse to deploy the military.....no rocket science here!!!!

how will that help the president? it just makes him lose whichever power he has to the military which doesn't make sense. unless you are implying that some other people are pushing him that way and he is clueless.

Ole Lenku should probably be replaced by a Kenyan-Somali who has a backgroud in security matters, our brothers from the North are known to have a no nonsense attitude (Ali & Yusuf Haji)....plus it will also be interesting to see how he deals with the Islamic extremists.

McReggae, just one question. Have you ever visited this Northern Frontier then compare with the police resourcing in Kenya to really understand what you are talking about?...

Lets leave RAO out of this. We have an ongoing ODM thread where we can bash him. I also doubt he was a security council chair. What we are saying is, get the right guy to direct how the security docket works.

You see, the state of the police affairs is better than it was when Michuki was was there. They have more vehicles, they have insurance, their houses are being built...although more needs to be done, they can surely do better with what they have at hand. Did you hear what @Swenani said about that guy who gone to report crime? That happens every day. Do you expect Wananchi to trust such fellows with info?

Will a new guy offer better leadership? MAYBE YES, MAYBE NO.
Is the current guy offering good leadership? HELL NO.

I rather take a risk with the former than the latter
