It's hard to get 50% of people to vote in US even in general election because unlike in Africa where if my tribe is not on the table the whole region can go without food. Elections just don't have direct impact to people's lives like it has in Kenya so it's hard to get people to vote. HAHA, so when they speak of Hispanics Blacks Asians and their interests etc..how does that differ from tribe? I am surprised you don't see the difference! You don't need hispanic or Black godfather to get into US army, you will need a kalenjin or a kyuk godfather to get to Kenya police or Army. You don't need black IRS executive to be employed downstream in IRS but you will need a kale OR Kyuk kenya internal revenue to get a job as a there. The point is you'll hear Hispanics or Black interest but it's policy are very far from people's daily life, it's not something that will make someone emotional. That's why social issues really get americans to polls because social issues are closed to people; birth control and stuff. In kenya, election mean more than in US or developed countries, the road in your region will not be build if your region is not on the table. You dont need a godfather, you just need your skin and name and a godfather will show up. Even if you get in, you dont go far. Heck there's a reason they have affirmative action requiring every applicant to state their race. Do you think that just happened? People fought for it but you seem to be too blind. Affirmative actions only work in college admissions or maybe government jobs otherwise corporations are not going to hire you just because of affirmative action. I understand very well about biases at work place, you'll even experience them in colleges but it's not as direct at you make it sound, as in they don't ask for your race so that they can use to discriminate you. The kind of biases you see at work is more subjective, i.e you have to work twice as hard to gain trust from people around or you have to flash a big school education to prove you're smart, it take a lot more for everyone to get to top except white man, even white women have to prove themselves. It's a struggle you just have to go through and over time you gain trust by the quality of your work.

Please refer to Jon Stewart, Letterman, Leno plus any satirical show. White picket fence cuts across the board to all races and nationalities. You have a chip on your shoulder, but thats none of my business @Nabwire, I think we're both right and should agree to disagree. Here is why, people form opinions and arguments based on their surrounding. For instance, if you're surrounded by people who are unemployed or underemployed or people are on welfare you're more likely to think the situation within your environment drives politicts and you're right. If you're surrounded by people whose lives can exist no matter the political dynamics, then you're likely to form your arguments using that set of environment. So I think we're both right, US is big and diverse economically and socially so we're not going to agree because we probably come from two different economic status. I understand you completely, I saw you referred me to some shows but again those shows are in local stations, people who watch those shows probably don't have cable/satellite, I watched them when I was in college when I used to have a little TV with 5 channels, so I had no option but to watch Leno, again most people who watch Leno do so because of a lot of reason, the biggest on is economics, can't afford to pay for cable/satellite . I am not saying that's you so don't take offense. we can go over this again but let's agree to disagree. I dont even know why I'm humoring you. But no we are not both right, you are wrong You cant say something as ludicrous as elections dont matter in the US then come back to save face by saying we are both right. Then you went off on a tangent trying to paint yourself as being from the wealthy class, and me being from the poor class, but you forgot one tiny detail, only the working poor try to convince people, especially online, of how wealthy they are. Please stop with the simplistic reasoning, Stewart, Letterman, Leno are mostly watched by the upper middle class to wealthy, going by your reasoning, Obama is poor coz he and his staff religiously watch these shows especially around elections You showed your ignorance and I called you out for it, trying to pacify me with classicism only worsens your case @Nabwire. Yep Obama team watch them during elections because people in lower economic status watched them and they happen to be the people who actually vote so it's important for any political leader to stop by Leno show or letterman show precisely because that's another way to connect with those voters, you can't even connect that? So you thought they love those show that much, hahaha! That's why they religiously watch during election All I can say is you must have miserably failed your critical thinking classes. I really doubt that you went to Stanford!

I know you want to win this so bad and facts wouldn't come between that: If it will make you feel better, I will say, you've been right all through and I have been wrong, does that make you feel better? What happen to your dreams of getting to a good school in US? I remember you had plans to go to a community college then transfer to Ivy League, sorry if it never came true, it rarely does!
