Syria was already weak when they got there while Iraq was already finished when they started. I do not know about Lebanon, but won't crossing Jordan be too difficult?

turns out Jihadi John, the Islamic State hooded figure leading the beheading of foreign hostages could very likely be an ex-UK rapper called Lyricist Jinn..in this song he mocks the war on terror and ironically sings in praise of the pro-freedoms (though anti-establishment) hacker group Anonymous..
