GOTv and DSTV and two products of Multichoice, they are not substitutes hence cant be compared, they just target different types of consumers. GOTv can be compared to Zuku but I think Zuku has more channels to watch. DSTV and ZUKU cannot be compared because their programmings are veeery different. DSTV has exclusive rights to air the EPL, La Liga, Serie A na kadhalika while zuku has none.Same for StarTmes which is almost like ZUKU in programming.

Decorder @ 2200 but you have to buy 3months subsription which I think is a good deal. @KES600 monthly subscription for 22 wanting channels? http://kenya.gotvafrica.com/gotv-channel-line-up/
Not sure if I would go for it, but if they throw in one SuperSport channel in there, for that odd game on Sato and Sunday, I am sure those decoders will fly off the shelf. Bharti Airtel should try their hand in this space, they run a mean satellite TV in India at reasonable rates, they should be able to tame DSTV's monopoly... Till then I will stick with my local pub for the games.

Gotv has a very clear signal and works very well, no booster clatter needed. I installed it myself since my landlords aerial system hasnt worked for months! GoTv can actually provide the same services as DSTV (including your HD sports channels). I watched some EURO 2012 games on their SS-Select channel

Have they disabled the old DVB - T1 decorders? Had one DV3, which effective 1st September 2012, stopped receiving the signals. Ama ime spire?

GOTV is useless! some channels keep disappearing and all the major free to air national channels like Citizen KTN and Nation are off for several months! I am not renewing my subscription! The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Between GoTV & startimes, i think startimes, is way more better.
Why?
Coz startimes is improving whilst Gotv is still there, startimes has startimes sports, swahili etc,and their signals is better.
But if you have the money....then DSTV is the thing

i asked this because Gotv I am told they repeat their shows alot add to that alot of useless channels, I flipped through his gotv and well it's not too impressive, his point is that Gotv will not pull a smart tv on us, startimes on the other hand looks very impressive many channels and very flexible payment my uncle pays 200 and watches their top bouquet for like 5 day when he is around, but everyone is saying that it's just a matter of time before they sink.
