Weird this counter. Just noticed that the EPS for the just end FY is 1.08 while the DPS is 1.20??? Paying out dividends higher than EPS d'oh! What is this with flat earnings and none sizable cash flow???
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

The info on the rich.co.ke stocks section is misleading. The EPS there reads 1.08 yet the official LKL FY reads 1.62. Need to change my quick info resource pronto from rich.co.ke.

Actually the Total Dividend for the year is 2.00 which based on your earlier post is weird given earning per share is 1.62.

The company is giving shareholders more money than they are making.

Oh, seen that they had an interim dividend of 80cts which makes total DPS 2.00.

So my initial concerns are valid. How do you pay such skewed dividend without supporting cash flow?

I just thought the interim dividend of 80cts paid was part of the 1.20 bob final dividend

I expect one down swing before the books close rally,although the stock can defy that.to sell before or after is the exam.
