Now now this never-ending problem of judgement being only against the poor, how should we restructure modern systems of justice? And what is 1 million shillings to the wealthy?

For those who don't know John Wagner is a former director of Nairobi Java Coffee House. Quite good chef actually. A lady friend told me she now avoids the chain these days but I don't.

Though not entirely similar, couldn't help thinking of the Lord Delamare/Thomas Cholmondeley issue, or the judge who shot someone on the highway and was acquitted, or the guy sentenced to life in prison for stealing a chicken.

Maybe the answer is to have a jury system like in the US. Jury would in most cases be made up of common folk and they would ensure the common folk get their due in public interest cases. But then the Judge would still be left with sentencing...

Terrible and unfortunate miscarriage of justice due courtroom technicality for the victims who have been scarred forever, and is not by any means a proof of innocence on the accused.

John Wagner, good chef? maybe.

Pedophile, sex pest? certainly! deserves life sentence with hard labour!

Resigned as Director from JAVA? Yes, as a strategic move soon after arrest but still majority shareholder of JAVA.

Will I ever step into Java? Never!

Actually in this country the truth is that you just need to do as I heard Jay Z once say:

Sit on my money till I'm above the law.

If you have enough cash, the law aint got nothing on you
Form is temporary, class is permanent
