Fafanua@ masukuma you must be working for them. I also think there is a lot of money wasted . For example i saw the other day that the UN estimated they need 4B dollars to rebuild Gaza. They will rebuilt it and then in the next five years the palestinians will start throwing their missiles again , Israel attacks, Gaza is destroyed and then UN comes back and the process continues. Who pays ???

Check the mandates of the three organisations you have mentioned and the mandate of UN Nutrition.

"The UN was not created to take mankind to heaven, but to save humanity from hell." — Dag Hammarskjöld, second UN Secretary-General "The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth." (Niels Bohr)

Let the existing UN bodies combat malnutrition(Esp UNICEF).Why did they have to create Global fund and UNAIDS when the same work could have been done by WHO? My point is that UN bodies are expensive in terms of administration costs, the money they spend should be channeled through government. It is a fact that governments deliver better ,quality and demographically spread services with their limited budget and massive corruption unlike the UN bodies and civil societies.I read a certain report of how much the donors have poured in education and health sector in Kenya through UN and civil societies and I can tell you that its a looooot of money yet these organizations do not pay salaries for workers, build infrastructure for health and education sector etc. Most of the money is spent on workshops, perdiems, office running costs, allowances for senior staff and salaries. Can you imagine what the government will do with an additional KES 10Billion in the health sector? If Obiero did it, Who Am I?
