you are a despot apologist mkono; whoever appointed you to that post did you a great disfavour.

I'm just wondering how come they(DRC) are not still rich will all that wealth locked in the soil and the despot gone. Did they even with a population of 75 million build an inch of railway after the despot died?

DRC untapped deposits of raw minerals are estimated to be worth in excess of US$24 trillion. What are they doing with that?

But you also got to give it to the oga brothers. From the above their economy has been growing at an average rate of 12% for the last 30 years! Where will they be now if the country was stable while ours has been growing at half the rate of Nigerian growthSad Sad

Nigeria has gone from being a tenth of South Africa's economy to doubling it in 25 years. Spectacular growth. They have the population, they have the resources but they are also very ambitious. Heko kwao.

Here is the link to the excel sheet for data updated this month http://www.imf.org/exter...lExport&goals=79930

Check the column for 2014

By the way, World Bank and IMF usually do not have the same figures for GDP.

The figures are right as quoted lakini its the calculation thats puzzling. Take for instance the banking industry; in S.A the biggest bank has assets of 162 billion $ and the three that follow have assets upwards of 70 billion $. In Nigeria, the biggest bank assets of 23 billion $ begging the question whether the Nigerian GDPs cash is saved in mattress a/c.
