It hasnt stopped me because I love the markets.. Only point I hoped to get across is that there is no ethnical balance in the Kenyan economy. IMHO, this is the reason why PEV happened.. Kenyans of a large marginalized segment feel that no matter how hard one tries, he/she shall never become part of the wealthy..

It is that kind of thinking that keeps you down.. Go to Club SK and look for the Luo thread. See what achievements Luos have made.

Well spoken.
When will this ethnic crap end?
The only way to get rid of this ethnical imbalance is to promote intermarriage between our tribes.Halafu bado we will find new excuses for whatever reasons.

@Obiero you conveniently skirt around my point where I whispered loudly that some 'communities' consider Bcom (Finance/Accounting/Marketing etc) lesser professions than medicine, law, engineering etc? Life plays tricks on us by making the Bcommer CEO while the doctor works 18 hour shifts in a poorly funded government hospital.

Some of these guys 'started' [or took over the firms when they were minnows] and grew them. Take James Mwangi. Or even Chris Kirubi [despite his background] and then explosive growth under Mworia. HFCK was dying but Frank Ireri has done a very good job.

Others e.g. HAFR, Olympia, Firestone are poisoned chalices. It behoves one to look closer. And carefully.
