the kenya constitution instructs us that we have the right "to be free from hunger, and to have adequate food of acceptable quality"... how is that working out for all of us? it's an aspiration... we are working towards that.

Even if the cop is reinstated, i don't think they will allow him to continue working in kasarani/githurai. He'll most likely be transferred to some farflung area like mandera to fight alshabab. It would be poor management for the authorities to appear to bow to external (public) pressure in running the police force.

criminal live by gun they should die by gun.

our activistic corrupt courts can't be trusted to deal with even straight forward cases. so if a thief is CAUGHT stealing red handed why should he live?

a bullet in the head will send a stern warning to those with similar intentions

katitu is a hero.

The Ordinary mwanainchi has learnt the hard way that Justice belongs to those who can oil the wheels of Justice, those who matter in the society, the ones who can afford the cost of an advocate who can buy any line of defense at the smell of good advocate's fixed fees, and who can bribe his way onto the unjust society while the poor wait, hat in hand, for the humble policeman to record his statement as he awaits at one of the stinking police stations. They had identified "Katito" a cop who could even sit with chokoras in the Githurai Roundabout at night as they tell him who is who in crime in the area.

Anyway the sister to the slain criminals apart from starting a blog, hiring a "reputable" lawyer, has not told us how the criminal(s) earned their daily bread/hustle. Were they shop owners? matatu owners? students? drug barons?????

Sending money from Norway to the "humble" siblings does not vindicate them of crime.

Most criminals when they meet their day often are praised even by neighbors as very reserved and peace loving but these were KNOWN CRIMINALS to the neighborhood!!!


Unfortunately at the end of the day "Katito" will be released, case terminated under "section 210 of the CPC, and transfered to a place where the rights activists will get tired of pursuing. The Githurai residents will not get a good cop in Katito again and justice will still be ellusive to the blogger from Norway and also to the hustling wanjiku.

It's strange when I see people complaining about criminals when they are braking the law at the same time.

Tebes, your comments are very passionate so makes me wonder exactly how much you know about these "known" criminals.

Katitu will not be released. That's a wish. His goose is cooked as they say. He will appear in court and that's the end of his career. And none of you on wazua will help pay that bail. Ni domo tu trying to get another cop on the wrong side of the law to do your unlawful acts.

Their family has a right to hire who they wish to. Unless you are one of those cops who advise people not to hire good lawyers but instead see them at that kalocal at the end of the day.

I know its hard for some to understand. But a policeman walking around swinging a gun to shoot anyone he thinks is a criminal, is actually a criminal. That unfortunately is the bitter truth.

Burning tires on a highway is actually criminal. It reminds me of those Gor Mahia goons we are always complaining about on this page. It's criminal.

If you don't know how to start a blog to fight for your rights, don't complain. Get into the 21st century.

For whatever reason, the DPP who knows the full case file, including the alleged criminal activities of the brothers, has decided that the REAL criminal is this cop. I believe he is not a mad man.

Don,t know if this is true just heard Macharia Njeru of IPOA saying that the Japanese police have not killed any suspect in 6 years,UK even with 150,000 burglaries only 2 suspects were killed in the previous year I believe 2013...

.....please be so kind(together with Ipoa) and now tell us how many people have been shot dead by thugs in those 2 countries in comparison to Kenya..thanks
