Last Friday on my way home at Ring Rd Ngara some bugger decided to help himself with my passenger side mirror. Always assumed these Nissans (an 07 Bluebird Sylphy) are so few on our roads, unlike Toyotas, nobody will bother vandalizing parts. Shock on me!! So there's a market already?!

Anyway the point was to warn other owners to be on the lookout you might be next. Start riveting and what not your vulnerable parts before they get to you!!

the worst of all is with the toyota axio . lost both side mirrors at kagemi at around 10pm ,i have been looking for them for the last one week. can get them. the indian says he has to import them at a the cost of 45k for both. i have to park my car since they took both of them. what a hell on earth having this 1.25m car

Sorry for that misfortune @westlake, I know how it feels. Was also given almost the same quote from some Indian shop in town, 25k per piece. There are guys in Industrial area selling ex-Japan parts imported from written off cars. Got a replacement from them at 17k obviously plus the mechanic's cut who directed me there (it's a somebody who knows a somebody kind of business).

@westkate have you considered taking your case to your insurer? (Assuming you are not on third party only cover). I believe what you are facing is way above the excess.
