The soldier was charged at the Kibera Law Courts for assaulting the officer in charge of the Parklands police station Chief Inspector Stephen Okal who had stopped him on Limuru Road near Ojijo roundabout on Tuesday.

He was identified in court documents as David Robins who is attached to the Kifaru Barracks.

The Briton appeared before Kibera Chief Magistrate Grace Nzioka but denied assaulting the OCS and creating disturbance in a manner likely to breach peace.

Court documents stated that Mr Robins uttered the words ‘f*#! you black monkey’ during the confrontation.

He was granted a bond of Sh50,000 and ordered to deposit his passport in court.

The case is due to be heard on March 16.

Maybe the guy's really a hero who didn't budge when asked for a bribe? Sadly, in court copper's word carries more weight.

Can't ever give benefit of doubt to our cops - they are the permanent dwellers of the bottom strata (DBS) when it comes to honesty going by all those terribe rankings. Anything they say that cannot be independently corroborated take with a pinch,nay, a truckload of salt.

In life there are mountains and there are mole hills this is a mole hill chomondeley now that is a mountain. But he was released cause he had been humbled by 3 years in kamiti, and had dug a borehole for the prison among other things.
Calling a police man a black monkey is far less than what i have wanted to call them.
