'specially on the island that within the last year spear headed by the waria,s not kenyan.
This is happening suddenly as if there is a great hurry to take up every available plot on the island.
Open secret is the piracy relationship to this developments.
@dsgnplus; At the rate of about US$5 million per ship (Sh350m), the piracy money is too little to have any significant effect on the property market in the country. Think about it, one captured ship can only buy 3acres in the plot advertised here by @a4architect.com.
Unless you think they've been taking one ship every day.
I am very worried about all this talk of pirate money being used to buy property in Kenya. If you want to know where the Somalis are getting their money from, go to Eastleigh and see the businesses they are involved in...and they've been doing thos businesses from decades. They didn't just start from "nowhere".
And why did they start buying land in other areas? Well, why not? They are Kenyans aren't they?
To all who are reading this: be very careful when you engage in this piracy money talk. This is how genocidal tendencies begin.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
