Within the CBD the Kidero lights seem to be working OK and actually better than the cops, last evening I witnessed the same!!!!

If obeyed, lights would be the best. Chida ni tudereva tuingine tuko na tuakili tudogo kuliko twa panya. Its even worse in areas where there are no lights at all and no one wants to give way. Today I was going to a meeting at some offices near Yaya. We spent about 20 mins kwa hiyo junction ya hapo Yaya centre. For 20 mins nobody was moving coz buses, small cars and matatus had "criss-crossed" each other on the junction and nobody wanted to go give way. Its pathetic how low drivers can sink sometimesSad

There are no lights at the yaya junction. That is a very confusing place to drive through. Who is supposed to give way there?

police should man rounderbouts to ensure that people follow the lights.

....Just arrived home...Traffic in the city was a disaster. What is the purpose of having the traffic lights if they cant work...In addition why waste power on these traffic lights if they are not working? Isn't that misuse of tax payers money...didn't use so much money to install these useless traffic lights...

We paid close to 500m to buy lights which did not come with software to make it work,is this not misuising tax payers cash?It was courtesy of Jamleck Kamau who was Nairobi Metropolitan Minister then...

Such a frustrating situation this. We desperately need lights and discipline, and it seems that neither the county nor the cops are interested in progress.

Well programmed lights can do wonders for our traffic.

As someone has said up there, the cops should be there only to arrest those not "obeying" the lights, not taking over from the lights. I have been to cities mayuu with heavier traffic than Nairobi and everyone obeys the lights and thus no cops at roundabouts.

Things still not working, funny at times jioni one has to wait in the jam without moving for more than 10 minutes just due to some useless cops. If the lights were to be obeyed , a car would move every two minutes even if for 50 M.
