Sorry. The makers of I-Mate Mobile Phones in Dubai were the first casualties of the economic downturn. I understand their service dept had not been efficient and now it's become very hard to get even spares.
Luckily, I have not had any problems with an I-Mate JAM I acquired in 2004.

@sokomjinga - thanks. I was actually in dxb last month and thats when I discovered i-mate closed shop in September 2009 - but it was not really owing to the downturn, rather to fraud by some i-mate staff. I also learnt that HTC are the ones who make the i-mate phones (just as much as HTC are the guys who make Google's Nexus which was launched yesterday) - so perhaps HTC might be in a position to take over support for i-mate's.

Hi.
Anyone know a good place that I can take a Samsung tablet for repair?
The tablet doesn't detect the SIM when inserted. Just keeps giving the error message "No SIM detected. Insert SIM".
