From conversations I read and hear, I think there's a general overestimation on the power of a referendum. Some of the things being proposed are in contradiction to provisions within the constitution e.g. the Bill of Rights. Even if they are passed in a referendum, there is a big probability they will be directly/indirectly nullified by the Supreme Court. A referendum that allocates e.g. 99% of revenues to the counties might be thrown out even if it passes. Also things like age or ethnicity limits are going nowhere IMHO. They will open a complex pandoras box where e.g. definitions of ethnicity become hazy for persons with blood from 5 or 6 different communities. It could descend into messy DNA analysis that will probably end up disqualifying every candidate from contesting. All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.
