I applied for a UK tourist visa for Mama watoto, my three children and housegirl.We all got the visa except the house girl who was denied the visa and told to apply as a domestic worker yet she is not going there to seek employment but to take care of the kids for only 6 days.I am told appealing will take long and we are due to leave on Tuesday.Any ideas?Leaving her is ticky as there is a 6 month old baby to be taken care of.

Do you really need a house help if the mother of the kids is going? She (your wife) should have applied separately!

The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

If it is only for 6 days, why not hire a babysitter when you reach there, it will be a lot cheaper than buying a ticket?

Her ticket, accomodation and expenses are all catered for, besides my four year old kid is so used to her that she may not accept to leave without her.I also think it would be a good morale booster for her.Anyway,wazuans, thanks alot.I managed to apply for her a domestic worker's visa and paid the priority fee.Hopefully it will succeed!

Priority visa is the way, the usual visa would take 3 weeks, I had to do priority with mine. (Went to the Application Centre on Friday, the Embassy called me on a Tuesday, I collected on Thursday morning and flew on the same night).

@Mawinder

It is painful, but if you have no choice and you want to make the child happy, you have to take some of these sacrifices.
