@masukuma, ni ugojnwa wa kisasa. You forgot the millions in Sidika's 'big-house' and installation of new Va-China!

And the media cannot ask her why people choose to indulge in getting weaves... lip inject, breast inplant, body inplants, the give themselves tans... all these conveniently called cosmetic surgery. But it is mutilation.

Why don't we think of changing the world to be a better place. We lie to ourselves.

This can't be Alphadoti's handle.Pray
But again whatever people choose to do with their own money is their own biz. Beauty/Cosmetic industry means big money,we can only question misused funds.

People should stop eating Gorillas,Rodents and Bats first, then we can talk about cure.

on funds it's more to do with public funds coz this is a global public health issue! maybe some viral storm is brewing deep inside the congo and when it comes out just like HIV - it will not care whether you are living in the US, Europe, Asia or Africa - itafagia kufagia!

@masukuma well answered Applause

That statement reminds me of one of President Kifaki’s then Justice and Constitutional Affairs assistant minister, Mr. Githae. He told Kenyans to stop starving, and start eating eating rats, donkeys and other edibles.

It was insulted and insensitive, when he himselves was swimming in plenty of food. The garment that previous year had turned away many farmers delivering maize in Eldoret, Nakuru, Kisumu and Transmara.
We could see lorries full of harvest trying to offload to the KFA but told they had stocked enough!!

It's greed!!!!!

I agree with Kysse, that's disgusting! You don't have to eat meat, you know? I wouldn't touch any of that meat, first of all it just looks nasty, I'm sorry. After watching this I don't know if I will ever eat West African soups, I found out they use pig's feet and I was kinda disgusted, now the thought of eating a monkey!! If I lived there I would hunt for termites, grassoppers, fish or just eat vegetables, it is not mandatory to eat meat. Should I ever travel to West Africa, I'm bringing a large supply of nuts, heri nikonde!

Though I must say that they are right, their ancestors have been living and eating monkeys for decades with no problem. It was not until the "scientist" discovered the HIV virus that all hell broke loose. So now the world is looking at them like the source of all epidemic, when in reality the disease was cultured in a lab, they are just collateral damage and scapegoats! Sad.

One can eat ALL they want, the world doesn't really care.

I find it extremely dumb to continue eating high risk untested meat during an outbreak, blame the goverment and put the whole world at risk because' eating primates 'is our culture.'
Well.. then embrace Ebola as part of the culture and stop making noise since hamuambiiki!!

Ebola is not yesterday's disease, the ancestors just didn't know what was killing them.

Some diseases we presently suffer from will find names a decade later.
Then our grandkids will say ' our ancestors used to..... 'Pleease note, it killed us we just called it witchcraft. !!'

don't confuse greed with culture.

this is the problem... ebola is their problem now due to the nature of the disease.... but, this is 'now' some zoonose will come and in the same way HIV sneaked in and became a global problem and not a Cameroonian problem - that zoonose will shake the world UNLESS the whole world decides to do something about it. We are lucky that Ebola is a difficult to catch disease but who knows what lies in the equatorial forests or even maybe it's already out and like HIV is silent and spreading until the day it 'kicks in'. In the same way the sahara desert causes storms in the US these diseases will not obey immigration rules and will come at you seated comfy in the savannahs. Ebola is a west african problem but a future one may not be!

hakuna 'vials' za wafrika! it's not just 'Americans' but rather the right type of Americans some African American of Liberian descent collapsed in Liberia where he had been visiting family but no evacuation for him considering that hospitals were not taking him. He died and when last I heard of his story he was still in Liberia... so.. sio 'Americans' tu... ni 'the right kind of Americans'. So akina @kiash should take note when push comes to shove watatambua hao ni akina nani.

Africans should be in their knees praying Ebola spread to Mzungu land kwa fujo.
Otherwise soon Africans, their goods and services will be quarantined unless spreadind is halted which seems not possible

Ebola is expected to spread to the United States due to the nature of global airline travel, but any outbreak is not likely to be large.
More cases of Ebola moving across borders via air travel are expected.

"It is certainly possible that we could have ill people in the US who develop Ebola after having been exposed elsewhere," Frieden told a hearing of the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations.

Masukuma,

I appreciate the information you so readily avail about this matter.

Though I do not wish to follow up my question to you, I get the feeling that you had misinterpreted a put down to akina Donald Trump who were saying nasty things about Ebola and its origins and used it to harshly put down your fellow countrymen and women.

I therefore think you should apologize to them.
