Blame it on our education system as noted by the writer we no longer offer technical courses. All our technical colleges were rightly or wrongly elevated to universities. Kenya siku hizi qualified plumbers, artisans na wengineo.

"Since the 1980's the once thriving technical colleges have been converted into universities offering either general courses or just upgraded technical courses that have little practical relevance"

When you start building your own house be prepared to pay good money for those guys you call watu wa mijengo. So let the ching chon come.

5,000 people are just too many regardless of how we try to spin it. I am sure the railway project does not need 5,000 engineers.

I don't think we should allow them to bring in artisans. I am sure there are Kenyans who can still wield a hammer

...And it is not just 5,000 people. They will come with their spouses, relatives, dogs and other living things. We could be talking about upwards of 20,000 people!!!

This guy's are just creating work for their Citizens something the Kenyan govt has failed to do...

It is co-shared with the bank and they keep all the official documents. As matter of fact, the bank comparison is not justifiable since China can not undo the railway if we default on payment.
