Both locally used and in great condition, similar rating 2000cc, YOM:FORESTER-2000 MARK II-2001. Reliability and performance are my main priorities since I make occasional visits to the farm. Mark II has a higher price by close to a 100K.
Thanks.
1. Are you a single or married wazuan? - Dont answer. However, the Forester's space in the boot is great for someone with a young family. Also for the farm produce. Change the springs to a harder variety.
2. Is the Forester turbo charged? You didn't say. Turbos are a lot more expensive to run and maintain, consuming more fuel, requiring synthetic and high grade oil, short time between services and sensors can be troublesome (and expensive)
I have a Subaru bias, if I were you I would buy the Forester, if its naturally aspirated. Caveat - bad resell price.
As for the Toyota, Kamau with the gun from Gachie favors this brand over other Japan or German, though some models more than others. Even if it can't easily be sold whole, it can be sliced and diced for parts, many which are interchangeable between models. All Toyota drivers in Nairobi slightly increase the probability of being attacked by their choice of car
