I watched the recent NTV series on the cost of belief with fascination... guys swindled in the name of spirits and gods. Then today a colleague told me an interesting tale of actual witchcraft and right here in the city. Some lady lady warned them that the family would be wiped out one after the other... It has been happening with a scary precision. Every Feb someone goes... About 4 down so far. They occassionally hear cat noises in the house....

Brought back memories of stories I used to hear traded in prima about night runners, some lake demons called chiwawa or something.. Then I had a Mtaita classmate who'd scare the hell out of us with tales of jinis and other weird happenings down at the coast.

Do wazua people believe in this stuff? Any interesting encounters with the spiritual whether angelic or demonic? Ama its just old wives tales?
