Toni Kroos confirms Real Madrid move

Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Sami Khedira

"Spoke to agent. Arsenal in advanced talks with Sami Khedira. f*** me, they’re getting serious. If Arsenal get Khedira, they win it. A great, great all round midfielder. The FA Cup parade has lit that Arsene fire again. Good to see." — Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) July 11, 2014

Liverpool have completed the £20m signing of winger Lazar Markovic from Benfica on a "long-term deal".

The 20-year-old helped Benfica win the Portuguese title last season after joining the club from Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2013.

Not if Mourinho has something to say about it... Chelsea have entered the race for Khedira also

C&P from ESPN Live Transfer Update...

"Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho hopes to deal Arsenal a huge blow in the transfer market after the Blues joined the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. ABC says that Mourinho has personally contacted the World Cup winner to speak to him about his future.

Mourinho has a close relationship with Khedira, having signed him for Los Blancos in 2010 from Stuttgart and it now appears to be a battle of persuasion as Arsenal's German World Cup stars attempt to convince Khedira to pick the Emirates over Stamford Bridge. This could get ugly"

Personally I think Khedira will be a much bigger coup for Arsenal than even Sanchez - I rate the guy very highly.

In the meantime, Di Maria could be the first player Man Utd lose out due to lack of CL football. With PSG hovering, LvG, Woodard and Utd will have to chuck a rabbit from a hat to get him. For me he was the best player of Argentina and came close to Robben as the best player of the WC.

For me the other guys on that wish list will be Cuardado and Vidal but I they're overpriced. Let's see whether Vidal is in Massimo Allegri's plans as Conte exits.

I'm surprised by City's silence in the market despite bagging Sagna...

'Arsenal and Chelsea fans, look away now. El Confidencial says that Sami Khedira is set to make a U-turn on his decision to leave Real Madrid by signing a new long-term contract. The World Cup and Champions League winner is free to leave the Santiago Bernabeu if he wishes but reports now suggest that he is happy to stay in Spain and fight for a starting place alongside new teammate Toni Kroos.'

Caughtoffside is the most unreliable site. Wenger will only bid a cut price in the final hours of the transfer window.

Does Wenger really need a player who would give him such headaches?

Jose Mourinho is regarded as one the best managers in the game, but in an interview with CNN, as reported by Football Italia, he spoke of the challenges of dealing with Balotelli at Inter.

Mario got a yellow card in the 42nd minute, so when I got to the dressing room at half-time I spend about 14 minutes of the 15 available speaking only to Mario. I said to him: ‘Mario, I cannot change you, I have no strikers on the bench, so don’t touch anybody and play only with the ball. If we lose the ball no reaction. If someone provokes you, no reaction, if the referee makes a mistake, no reaction.' The 46th minute – red card!

It was just Madrid reaction to Barcelona buying Suarez.
For me, Suarez anytime.
