Lamu is so expansive and idle...the greedy businessmen would only be interested in the land close to the port not the interior so that perspective is out. Try another.

Thank you Harry. Ati mpeketoni is now prime land as far as the Port is concerned (over 30km away and completely off the proposed corridor). It is like saying Bondo town has become prime with the expansion of Kisumu International airport. smile

Kikuyus there occupy like a tenth of Lamu. The rest is unoccupied woodland, very ideal fr the kind of attacks we are seeing.

Anybody with maps?

Come to think of it folks, it looks like the tycoons (garment is definitely part of it) are doing it again.........In Lamu there is there is a port to be built, a railway to be built to South Sudan ..........you have some pesky poor kikuyus sitting on prime property what do they do? Invent Ishmael Omondi and Idris Kamau to whack these kikuyus out, people are being chased from the entire area so tycoons can take premium port land. And the only way to sanitize the image of the militia was to first sacrifice Kikuyus, so that the militia would seem to be an anti government militia!!!!.....

Very possible.

The poor are always pitted against each other to benefit the 1%.

This happens everywhere.

You see Kikuyus settled at the coast were thrown out of their land in central province to pave way for the collaborators. They were resettled in 'foreign' land, where they have suffered at the hands of locals every election time. Now that wealth is beckoning in Lamu, they once again face eviction. ......you and I know who come election time keeps the persecutors in power!!!!

I see you have managed to twist a few facts here and there. Most of the good land at the coast is owned by the Arabs..... acres and acres. The Kikuyus of Mpeketoni own a tiny section of Lamu county, very far from the upcoming Port....far from being prime! Have you been to Lamu?

The entire coastal strip is staring at an implosion, not just Lamu. MRC is actively recruiting, for a reason I can not figure out. There is no longer clarity as to who is MRC and who is Al-shabaab.

But of course you have to bring dirty politics into such a grave matter with a guarantee of cheerleaders.

simonkabz; when people are lacking knowledge, they can yap anything; ANYTHING! ! this guy above most probably had never been past mombasa.

Whether we know or been to Lamu or not, the way gava went mute after the charged PORK conference there are untouchables in this thing i tell you. Time will tell and i hope it will be very soon.

My goggles tell me even PORK is helpless in some of these things .....

An excerpt from "The testament"

But the government was also the enemy. In 1967, an investigation into the
agency in charge of Indian affairs shocked most Brazilians. The report revealed that agents, land speculators, and ranchers-thugs who either worked for the agency or had the agency working for them-had been systematically using chemical and bacteriological weapons to wipe out Indians. They issued clothing to the Indians that was infected with smallpox and tuberculosis germs. With airplanes and helicopters, they bombed Indian villages and land with deadly bacteria.

So this was ethnic cleansing against a particular community, as the president and Cicely Mbarire passionately put it?

TRIBALISM IN KENYA

Put eight monkeys in a room. In the middle of the
room is a ladder, leading to a bunch of
bananas hanging from a hook on the
ceiling. Each time a monkey tries to climb the
ladder, all the monkeys are sprayed with ice cold
water, which makes them miserable. Soon
enough, whenever a monkey attempts to
climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not
wanting to be sprayed with the ice cold water, set upon him and beat
him up.Soon, none of the eight monkeys ever
attempts to climb the ladder. One of the
original monkeys is then removed, and a new
monkey is put in the room.Seeing the bananas
and the ladder, he wonders why none of the
other monkeys are doing the obvious. But
undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the
ladder. All the other monkeys fall upon him
and beat him senseless. He has no idea
why. However, he no longer attempts to climb
the ladder.A second original monkey is
removed and replaced. The newcomer again
attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other
monkeys hammer the crap out of him. This
includes the previous new monkey, who,
grateful that he’s not on the receiving end this
time, participates in the beating because all
the other monkeys are doing it. However, he
has no idea why he’s attacking the new
monkey. One by one, all the original monkeys
are replaced. Eight new monkeys are now in
the room.None of them have ever been
sprayed by ice cold water. None of them attempt
to climb the ladder. All of them will
enthusiastically beat up any new monkey who
tries, without having any idea why. And that is
how TRIBALISM gets established and followed....
