Mr President, with due respect I believe you got better advisors and intelligence than any of us.
But the reality is many innocent lives are lost almost daily due to our troops engagement in a lawlessness country. Do the necessary tonight and announce end of the mission.

Are you sure Mr President shares your view as concerns who the perpetrator of the madness is!

So pulling out of Somalia will make MRC, Al Hijra and other KENYAN terroristas disappear?

And how does staying in Somalia protect us from them?? They all have Kenyan passports and are in Kenya to stay!

Better for KDF to come back and deal with them at home because now Al Shabaab no longer have to bother themselves with us any longer!

Al Shabaab have changed focus to regaining Mogadishu from AMISOM slowly by slowly!

200 dead and they are only basking under the sun of Kismayu beaches! In America 200 dead soldiers who are barely fighting would be a catastrophe Sad

If Shabaab retake Mogadishu as is the plan then Kismayu will be next and I wonder how many of these vactioning soldiers will meet their creator!

The way kebabs fight my dear, is no match for KDF. I wont give details but you can take that to the nearest bank.

Kebabs can only succeed in massacring civilians and laying small stupid ambushes that mostly get themselves killed rather than kill the target.

That figure of 200 is grossly exaggerated. Do you know how many kebabs are roasting in hell right now courtesy of KDF? I will tell you this when we meet in private smile .

Meanwhile, I may agree with you that eventually, only the Somalis can save themselves, not AMISOM. But then again AMISOM ain't going anywhere anytime soon because the people of Somalia themselves need it there, and therefore cannot be dictated to leave by less than 5000 lunatics at the expense of millions of innocent Somalis. The world needs AMISOM there

Interestingly, so long as we still have Qatars and other willing sponsors of terror, jobless and poor Al-kebabs are there to stay.......chaos in Som will be with us for a long time to come.

For KDF to stay put or to get out is not a very easy question like you want to put it.

On this we agree @simonkabz. In Operation Linda Nchi, death toll was about 13 KDF vs 700 militants.

AMISOM is an African Union initiative that took over from IGAD in 2007 hence larger number.

Al-Shabaab are adept at killing unarmed civilians. I think they'd struggle if even normal civilians were armed, let alone against an army.

Of course they know Israel does not take nonsense, so they keep their distance at zero option!
