Or do you think what happened today was democracy for all? What makes up a citizen? Birth?

That cannot be democratic, there has to be an autocratic prescribed method for it. Give me an example of a successful democracy comeon convince me tycho "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. You have forgotten that citizenship is defined by free humans taking up responsibility to form and maintain a body politic, and to defend it. That's what legitimacy is about. Examples? Most of Africa before pseudo-politics held us captive. Have you read about the Peloponnysian war- Athens versus Sparta? How can one know if a political system is successful or not?

No i have not read that and believe me i wouldn't. I am a present-future kind of guy i study the now and the will be. The "once upon a time" is not as important unless its cyclical in a way. There are various ways of knowing a political system is successful, "a seemingly contented people" Look around, what has worked out there? I see more of a dictatorship kind of government. Only you is capable of such a contradictory post without knowing it. Typical of the mass man. Now you think your opinion is just and true! And even logical! Comparison when your present is the only frame of reference. Sheer blindness.
