The agreement was that he would get that back if he was sold. Chelsea are set to pay €36m including bonuses for Fabregas and that €3m of that will go to Arsenal, as part of the original deal they reckon Fabregas is owed €5m, but Barcelona won't pay." What Arsenal are set to receive is not related to the amount he paid to facilitate move to Barca.

Balotelli would provide the much needed outlet for the immensely talented arsenal midfield. My excitement has however been dampened by rumours that Tom Cleverly is being considered in the Vemaleen swap deal. You don't sign class then mix it with dross! If arsenal needed a midfielder then should have gone for Cesc. Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

And one Ronaldinho at Barca, his buyout clause in 2005 was 125mil Euros and he said he would never leave. Wonder how Messi will be handled when they are through with him. Quote:On 19 May, Laporta stated that Ronaldinho needed a "new challenge", claiming that he needed a new club if he were to revive his career. Ronaldinho sent an open letter to the fans and players of Barcelona, stating that his best years had been the five he spent in the Catalan club. It was a sad moment for him and he later said in an interview that he regretted leaving without playing long enough with Messi It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt... -Mark Twain

Alex Buttner's time at Manchester United is over after he agreed a deal to join Dynamo Moscow, as reported by the Russian club's website. In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later - H Geneen

I'm glad that Utd have already made signings and still showing aggression in the market despite the overpriced players...that's what happens when you're Utd and don't qualify for CL. I was so surprised that Luke Shaw agreed to join Utd instead of City. 60M pounds for him and Herrera is a lot but at least they're players we need. 11M expected transfer fee for TV5 doesn't mean anything to me, we need back up defenders. Another rough midfielder like De Jong will be okay, Fletcher's days are over. Vidal will be overpriced so I'd rather Roma agree a fee for Strootman, will be high but nothing compared to Vidal. Then tufunge kazi na pre season kicks with all our transfer work done. Mbele has too many people if you factor in Adnan, Mata and Kagawa. Nani and Valencia may surprise under LvG. As we saw in the Dutch game vs Netherlands, LvG is not afraid to bench anyone so Ronney and RvP will have to deliver. Exciting prospects for an immdeiate return to Top 4 for Utd, heck even a title challenge without CL football. Hii mambo ya nine trophyless seasons haiwes...we're UTD. BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

Adam Lallana to Liverpool for 25 million pounds confirmed! Liverpool are on a spending spree, just like Tottenham last year. Surely Suarez is being offloaded. "Occasionally I drop a tea cup to shatter on the floor. On purpose. I am not satisfied when it does not gather itself up again. Someday perhaps that cup will come together."

Barca have confirmed that they have received offers for Alexis Sanchez amid reports that the player’s agent has already met with Arsene Wenger to discuss a move to the Emirates. Arsenal really need a player of Sanchez's quality at the front so .

Arsenal close in on Lars Bender, Alexis Sánchez and Mathieu Debuchy in £60million transfer swoopION, i think this statement from Uruguay manager Óscar Tabárez confirms that the Suarez incident was a deliberate attempt by the player and Barca to force a move out of Anfield. "Luis had told me about the Barcelona interest in November last year a few days before the Jordan match. At that time the talks between Liverpool and Barcelona were very good and an agreement was arranged back then.
After the amazing season he had Liverpool did not want to sell him understandably and they began to back out of the deal they made with Barcelona in November last year.
Luis got word of this a day after the victory against England. He was a changed man, he got upset and his head was elsewhere. He could barely train with the rest of the team. I had to have him train with a different group from the main squad."
