Current Price = 140
A 5:1 split (5 shares for every 1 you have so if you have 100, you will get 400 'more' for a total of 500) should be 140/5 = 28
The EPS, NAV/Share all reduce proportionately.
Therefore 28/- is NOT a 'dilution' nor a 'price drop'. The whole cake has not changed in size.
If I have 1,000 shares @ 140 = 140,000/-
After the split I have 5,000 @ 28 = 140,000/-
KPLC pays 8/- dividend/share = 1,000 x 8 = 8,000
After split 1.60/share = 5,000 x 1.60 = 8,000
