So recently it was Meru residents refusing to take water believing it is poisoned. Then yesternight, after watching WC, I log in to fb to find many posts talking about 2 lorry loads of armed men who entered Kwa Ngobi forest in Lari, Kiambu county. People as far away as Limuru town hawakulala believing that it was another Mpe-ketoni attack. Glad it turned out to be a hoax

This Lari rumour was worsened by some other claims about 2 weeks ago that some strangers were collecting heads of families' names around Kirenga-Kimende area

It was later, however, said that a lorry carrying cattle and goats broke down along the Mai Mahiu road near Ngubi forest. Another lorry came to the scene and also stopped to offer help in repairing the first lorry.

After the repairs were done, some of the men entered the forest to relieve themselves before embarking on their journey.

This is believed to be the source of the rumour that led security forces to conduct an all-night operation in the area.

Laughing out loudly people should be banned from relieving themselves in the forests.
