Musonye, the secretary general of CECAFA went ballistic the other day lamenting that kenyans are pretenders, they don't like soccer but just go to 'pars' to wacth primier league and 'kossip' !! Kweli au Rongo?

The exposure of watching EPL soccer every weekend cant allow me to go to Nyayo stadium to watch mediocre soccer. In all fairness, the difference between CECAFA soccer and village soccer is very thin indeed.

Has anybody ever wondered whether our own Harambee Stars can beat a relative mediocre club like West Brom?

kenyans do no love football, they love drinking,.....i mean drinking beer. Thats why they are hooked to EPL as an excuse to drink.

@jaina,
not all kenyans love beer..ever gone to a club during those football matches and seen guys seated sipping sodas for three hours till the soda goes stale??
i think such guys only go there to watch the game n not to drink beer.

Whoooa, I tell you the article "Musings of a piqued Mwenyenchi" put up by Wazere makes for good reading. The writer knows the Kenyan animal well.

'Harambee Stars will be playing Cameroon over the weekend and my guess is that the fans who will appear at Kasarani will primarily be there to watch their Premier League ( and other European League) stars live as they teach our boys a lesson in soccer.
I hope Musonye will be around to cheer the home team as Kenyans continue 'kossiping' probably about the Census results that are being cooked!!!!

Kwani they think the britons who go to watch EPL live dont drink bear during halftime and to celebrate the win or drown the sorrow is then done in a bar. Then the other millions watching worldwide also watch it in bars not only kenyans. Soccer is a social event world wide and is best served with beer.

`@Gekko The match was moved to Kasarani, apparently Nyayo Stadium does not meet FIFA standards and hence can not host an international friendly.
