[quote=simonkabz]Bw. Tycho, you got valid points, but cannot apply in our current situation. We NEED roads! It is a sad story to have a joker for a gavana.

Sad

People need roads; for what? How are these roads to be developed? How is anything, or anywhere to be developed?

How can these questions not apply? When they don't apply, you get 'jokers' in office.

Given your usage of 'posterize' I wonder whether you know what 'pessimism' is, or whether you know what your post is about. At most, you could be describing yourself.

What will the use of those street lights in soem part of the remote section of the road?
Does the road have any appreciable traffic late in the night?
Those cameras are to record who? Do the cameras night night vision technology?
I look at the road and just laughed. The elevation of the road is below the immediate surrounding land, no culverts, no shoulders...
You cant even even compare the road to say Eastern bypass...
it looks like tarmac was spread on top of loom soil.

You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

This is so cool:

10. Governor Dr. Alfred N. Mutua visited and monitored construction of the road by visiting over 10 times and by receiving regular reports of speed of construction and quality.
- This is the first tarmac road built by a County Government in Kenya.

11. The construction is based on Governor Alfred N. Mutua’s development ideology of Maendeleo Chap Chap, meant to provide speedy, quality and efficient service for citizens.

I understand that Mutua took personal responsibility over the construction and demanded to see the work before paying contractors. He did not want to trust the word from the engineers before seeing what has been done.

In the meantime, guys like Kabogo are doing the Safari rally. Kudo's Mutua for also being the Governor who spend most on development projects

I think its better than nothing...tutakuwa papa hapa unless God calls us home...we will get to see how long the road will will last...Eating or no eating he is miles ahead as compared to other governor's ...quick one are counties allowed to invest their cash like in other jurisdictions?e.g UK council's had invested in Iceland banks...

If you are truly a qualified engineer as you are wont of posturing, you would have realized the less-than-40km Eastern Bypass is a 4 Billion highway! There is no way you can begin comparing a 600m road to such. These graduatesSad
