@Boris Boyka, Of course they are real but rarely practical. When evaluating this, it requires you to appreciate the mechanisms of determining air fairs pricing. Many propositions exist including https://www.iwu.edu/economics/PPE08/alex.pdf (Understanding the Chaos of Airline Pricing). Generally you get the lowest fares only if you plan your trip by booking early, say at least 3 weeks to several months. Try booking one day or some hours to the flight time at any airline and tell us how much you pay at any airline.
The price setters in the case of Jambo still have to factor in the price of their competition and the countervailing power of consumers. Whether it is PR or not? that sounds political to me.

I have second thoughts about the viability of Jambo, based on cabin factor.
I believe the equipment used is B737, assuming 120 seats, a flight is viable at 50% using KQ rates (this isn't scientific) and at Jambo rates, this factor needs to be hitting the 80% mark (again not scientific). Are Jambo achieveing these factors on any route, more so that they have more frequencies?
That said, I'm still waiting to sell my KQ at ksh 126, as I've done before.

Eldoret and Kisumu are currently delivering for Jambo. Mombasa has sufferred the insecurity thing.

You may also want to know:

1. Civil aviation regulator revokes Air Uganda's AOC.
http://www.ch-aviation.c...revokes-air-ugandas-aoc

Biggest gainer: KQ, Air Uganda could already be selling tickets to kq. and if you understand what this means, it could take quite long to get back the license

2. Second Dreamliner: Expected tomorrow Saturday 21st June.

I repeat that it is the 2014 rather than the expected 2013 results that might work out for kq. Sad for me is that i bought relatively high (12.3) when there was a potential of picking @ abt 10. But my dreams are VALID

@ Akenyan2014, KQ already had code share with Air Uganda, so the marginal increase is minimal, unless uganda grants more frequencies.

Air Uganda has only 3 low capacity aircraft according to the site shared byb@AKenyan2014. Even if they were to give their entire business to KQ on the EBB-NBO route that may not translate to significant impact on bottomline for KQ

Here is the correct position:

http://www.eturbonews.co...onal-flights-ugandan-ai

That is ALL UGANDA AIRLINES SUSPENDED

It is the Uganda regulator UCAA that was suspended by ICAO and implies that UCAA cannot issue any air operator certificates . The effects remain as stated earlier. The focus remains both the cargo and pax business the uganda registered airlines will sell to the competition
