All personnel and equipment under KWS, KFS, NYS now fa under the IG after the new directive by Ohuru!!!!

Today i also read somewhere that 7 Mpeketoni Cops have been promoted!

Its as if Uhuru is telling the country, "MTA DO?"

I think this might be for faster response.You will find choppers would have helped in remote places like Mpeketoni & Baringo but only KWS has such.So theyd have to have a meeting & lots of beauracracy while Kenyans are being killed.Let us watch & see if it helps.

thinks its a good way forward. all this security need to work with each other to save the citizens

@Mc, No. The purpose is more for purposes of resource sharing and joint command of the same when needed. Operational capacity and effectiveness is what is lacking in the current security setup.

Which makes sense. But they need to fix the law and be clear on when the IG may engage these other arms. There is a lot of potential for abuse and buck passing that must be taken care of. Still, the holder of the office of the IG needs to be sorted out. He's not doing a very good job with the resources he already has.

if true hiyo haitasidia, neither the kws nor the kfs or even the nys are trained in matters security, especially organized crime.
