Holland battled for each decimal increment in those 3 points. Memorable game.

Holland through to 2nd round

Meanwhile, Portugal's World Cup is going from bad to worse as Christiano is likely out of Brazil 2014 after limping out of training, knee heavily strapped. If he plays, doc says he risks tearing his knee elements beyond repair.

That penalty was unfair. That was ball to hand

True there is very little the dutch player could have done to prevent the ball from hitting his hand.

I think all handballs should be given, trying to judge if it was intentional or not - its like disallowing a goal just because a keeper was caught off guard. smile

a nice game nonetheless.

If Spain survive, they will meet Brazil in round of 16!

SPAIN 2014 = FRANCE 2002

OVERRATED, OVERCONFIDENT, OVER-PRESSURED and UNDERRATING OPPONENTS

They will be out @ group stage. Unless of course they bribe the ref, history will repeat itself

Not overrated coz basically they were good players. Other 3 correct.

A good player does not always remain good....the worst enemy of a good player is age.

Ok... So Spain is doing a France 2002

Teams have finally figured out how to stop Spain. They are now turning Tiki taka into real taka taka by pressuring them upfield. It looks like Spain may be the 1st team headed for the departure lounge. Eti defending champions
