@interesting, well said. Its upon kenya Govt to improve security no matter whether its CIA/Britain/Alqaeda planting the bombs. Kenya is not short of intellectuals who can out-think the terrorists, beignning with akina @mawinder here, so its upon the Govt to seek them out, employ them and the security will be ok for everyone.

Its very obvious that the current govt employees in charge of security have been completely outwitted and fresh blood needs to be injected to deal with this.

Whilst I admire the bravura calls about how we are going to ship in one million Chinese tourists, I can assure that if the asset markets which are hard-nosed were treated to that kind of baloney, the shilling would be going the way of the Ghana cedi, where policy makers have been peddling a narrative no one believes in and each time the narrative gets peddled, the cedi sinks further. With regard to policy-making and policy utterances, I think selling the Eurobond will have an enormously beneficial impact. We often cite 'sovereignty' as a catch-all phrase and it is worth pointing out that we are ceding a great deal of sovereignty by selling this Eurobond. Essentially, international investors and our bondholders will now have the capacity to price our credit on a real time basis. The cause and effect will be seen on a continuous real time basis. I believe this will over time kick some of the more 'outlier' behaviour into touch. - See more at: http://www.the-star.co.k...ey#sthash.e3JMfs3l.dpuf[/url]

Just came across this press release from Ambassador Godec. Seems the sentiments of Wazuans reached him. Anyway, I tend to read such with a pinch of salt but it is a good read nevertheless.

@Goldlks,Its good u are treating it with some salt.Infact you shud rubbish altogether what they are saying here. Its just sideshows. Are they not the same who said if we elect Uhuruto they wil keep only essential contact with kenya? Are they not the same who told us there wil be consequences to electin Uhuruto? Are they not the same who organised evacuation of the tourists after threatening them with insecurity? Are they not the same who closed their embassies and reduced their staff in Nairobi to tell the whole world that our country is burning? Are they not the same who have labeled our country failed two years ago when security was ok?Are they not the same people who sent war correspondents to cover 2013 elections instead of normal journalists? Are they not the same who last year tried to fund M4M to the tune of 30m which was frozen by the Govt? Are they not the same people who have been supporting the opposition to instigate violence in Kenya?I have said it and wil say again here, kenya's problem is western instigated and the end game is to have a asslicking regime who wil allow siphoning of the new found oil. This wil also counter the Chinese influence in Kenya and remove the so called exclusion of our traditional partners who are also engaging China in a big way for loans and projects. This has happened and continue to happen in countries where china has huge investments.African and Kenya esp is in a tight spot where its a break or make. The 'traditional partners' have very influencial mercinaries/moles in Kenya in the name of NGO's and foundations and some are also in Govt. They wil sabotage the country until we wake up.When they say they are sponsoring some youths to western universities, what we should know is that they are investing in their networks of local saboteurs. Those same guys wil come to back and wil be used to collect intelligence and activism to sabotage the country.
If in doubt talk to ur friends in world vision,Usaid, ukaid and if they are honest with u they will tell you what they do.Cuban tweeter wil also be a good eye opener

After Mpeketoni, I am no longer angry with the Brits. Our security problems are of our own making. Jubilee and the government has failed Kenyans. We have failed ourselves, we are hostage to tribalism and corruption. Pure and simple

alshabaab, boko haram, alqaeda n any other "terror" groups have a very close affinity to oil and other valuable natural resources.Iraq,Egypt,DRC,Sudan, Nigeria are good examples. that's why we have to stay ahead of the "terror" groups and contain the attacks. we must also be careful not to be drawn into a religious/tribal/class warfare coz while we do that somebody will be busy mining our oil.

Has the Kenyan embassy in Washington written a thing that we can read?
