Why would the govt. want to let Al Shabaab off the hook on this one? Why is it keen on defending a sworn enemy? If Al Shabaab wants some, then the govt should give it some and more, so that next time Kenya is attacked, it won't dare claim responsibility. In any case, this is a golden opportunity for the govt. to start a proper propaganda war against Al Shabaab, show the whole world how evil Al Shabaab really are, and use it to lobby more nations to send more troops into Somalia. Al Shabaab has accepted responsibility, so it doesn't matter whether they did or not, it is a sworn enemy, it should pay for it.
