agreed. Since alshababa are the main suspects, and they're not civillians, give them jeshi

My first post about this matter.

The army needs, then, to be brought back from Somalia to do this well.

And a wrong one too! Kenya has close to 25,000 military personnel. Only 4K or so are in Somalia. Why not use the rest? This does not need more than 500 of these

I agree. Value addition. These are the days of value addition. Army excursion e.g. into Somalia or our residences ought to add value to our lives. If all it brings is subtraction, lessening of value, then the excursion is not worth it. Warudi kwao.

I am inclined to agree that army out of the barracks has brought us no good thing. Only death, destruction, anguish, devaluation.

I was listening to some "security expert" state Uganda, Burundi also have armies in Somalia but are not being attacked so it is not about army in Somalia.

I wanted to ask him if he has considered the mitigating effect of distance, or proximity, and if it is him or the attackers who decides what distance should and should not crossed to "successfully" attack.

From SafCom: Safaricom major hub in the area went down last night due to power outage, No KPLC and Generator ran out of fulel thus affecting all the neighbouring 14 sites..talk of being clueless!!!

We actually discussed that last week but akina @Alma walisema it's a bad idea, Jeshi should remain in the barracks! How exactly are our Policemen supposed to deal rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

Army to do what? Another profiling, targeting and harassment?

Is this what we are saying? We know what army does, they become the police, the judge and executor at the same time. No rule of law.

Do you remember what happened in Garissa? They burnt down buildings and raped women!

What happened to intelligence, arrest and prosecution? What happened to the procedure and conditions under which Kenya Army can get out of the barracks? The only time during which they can leave the barracks is during a "state of emergency" or "approval". They should not rape, or torture, or loot, or kill innocent women and children. They should not even burn business or residential property!!

Otherwise, there'll be no difference between them and thugs.

But of course, of late, it looks like the law has no meaning. We have become lawless!!

Scenario - Your boss cancels his trip (because of security reasons) then sends you instead.
If you stay ready, no need to get ready.
