"A police officer quoting witnesses said some of the gunmen were speaking in Somali as they moved from shop to shop and house to house shooting people."
There were around 50 attackers, heavily armed in three vehicles, and they were flying the Shabaab flag. They were shouting in Somali and shouting 'Allahu Akbar' ('God is Greatest')," Taz, Why would the "somali" attackers move from somalia to come kill innocent civilians in mpeketoni yet they could kill many more people in Kiunga, Ishakani, Milimani,Managai, kiwayu etc which are close to somali and would have made their escape easy?
Moreover the villages between Kiunga and Mukowe have no police stations and they are not easily accessible due to lack of mobile networks and poor roads. All they needed to do was send 10 guys to each village and 1,000s of people would be dead could it be explained the same way Thika rd blasts were explained by some?

Al Shabaab have infiltrated ALL parts of Kenya! We should have seen this coming when they stepped up their attacks on Mogadishu! Mark 12:29 Deuteronomy 4:16

@Swenani, toa Goggles. You asking hard hitting questions some of which are unsettling. I hope you don't throw in the Chania Bus attack into line . I can feel your anger burning through my screen.

I was responding to whatever has been highlighted in red below, I dont know why you decided to selectively quote part of the conversation? guru267 wrote:washiku wrote: Any body can shout Allahu Akbar...its not that hard to. What has the govt said? I am getting no info at all from UK, Ruto or any other. Boss, guess you have not been to Mpeketoni. Very, very easy to launch such an operation. Entry/Exit can be via land or sea lots of open spaces. I honestly don't understand why no Chopper was scrambled from Manda, not necessarily to fight the attackers but at least to rescue injured civilians. Last night, Chirchir had said there was air response. You mean it found nothing? Chirchir a KDF PR and social propaganda mouthpiece, I still can't forget how one day he was updating on the Somalia war as we sipped beer!!!! ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

That it could be MRC and land related esp because Mpeketoni is dominated by a bara tribe that was allocated in the Jomo days He has a point, al-shabaab have denied responsibility

we need security. In lamu, moyale, kisumu, turkana, and everywhere in kenya. let gok tell us what it is doing if anything so that we can know what to expect. When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.

Sometimes i feel that wazua is a place where i want to be.Now i have the contrary feeling. These are our brothers and sisters who have been killed. What do we engage in ,Politics.I wish i could call for a moment of silence in honor of the fallen kenyans.I pray that He Who gives peace to pour it upon the families of the departed Fellow Kenyans.I know that We will be strong. Advice is like snow. The softer it lands the harder is sticks.
